STATEMENT OF FAITH
"Ridgely Christian Church believes the Scripture, both Old and New Testaments to be the inspired Word of God,
without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the
Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life."
WHO WE ARE
Ridgely Christian Church is part of The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). To be part of The Disciples, one needs to believe Jesus is the Christ, the son of the Living God, and Lord and Savior of the world.
From the beginning, we have celebrated the practices of the early church. Each time we worship, we partake in Communion. We practice baptism by immersion.

We Believe:
- In one God, Creator of all things, who is infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary.
- In His deity, sinless life and substitutionary death for the sins of all men.
- The literal, physical resurrection and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in the air to receive His church unto Himself and establish his promised worldwide kingdom on the earth.
- The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict, regenerate and seal, to indwell, guide, instruct and empower us for life in service.
- Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and therefore is lost.
- The blood shed of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
- Only those who receive, accept His grace, trust in, and rely on Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God.
- We do not believe, nor endorse the modern day charismatic movement.
